About our team & our platform:  

The Audit & Assurance (A&A) Data & Digital team is at the heart of the Asset Transformation Strategy across Deloitte Asia Pacific. With a unique blend of data technologists, designers, developers, and management consultants, we are a powerhouse committed to delivering next generation solutions to all A&A clients through our proprietary Big Data Platform. Our platform serves thousands of clients, engagements and users, it processes billions or records across hundreds of solutions both in Australia and Asia Pacific. 

 
What will your typical day look like?   

We are looking for an innovative and passionate junior software engineer to support the engineering team to design, build and optimise our data and AI platform. You will apply structured problem solving, effective time management, and provide junior team members with support and guidance needed to deliver high quality outcomes. The role involves:  

  • Designing, building and optimising our cloud analytics platform including new user interfaces, data process automation and APIs. 

  • Collaborate with the data and AI team to integrate rules engines, ML models, and reporting/visualisation layers (data lake, pipelines, dashboards). 

  • Involvement in identifying trends and innovation in .NET and React development and related technologies to inform the future development of solutions for our clients and evolve our cloud data platform.   

  • Helping make decisions about our feature pipeline and the direction of the platform and hosted apps. 

 

Enough about us, let's talk about you.  

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer 

  • Proficiency in .NET Core APIs, C#, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript and ReactJS (or Angular) 

  • Strong technical abilities to understand, write, and debug complex code. 

  • Experience with relational databases and handling large data volumes with Python and SQL 

  • Familiarity with modern development practices, including code control, CI/CD pipelines, TDD/BDD 

  • Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with other developers. 

  • Exposure to the following would be advantageous: 

    • Cloud technologies (Azure preferred), Docker, Kubernetes and open-source data/platform engineering tools 

  • Data visualisation and analytical platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks) 

  • Using AI-powered developer tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or similar) as a core part of your engineering workflow, from coding and testing to documentation and automation 

  • Self-starter mindset: comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, flexible, and dynamic environment
