Role Overview

We are seeking an Indigenous Support Specialist to join our team, supporting a large software application management contract with a federal government department. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and develop a range of professional skills.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Depending on your skills and interests, you may focus on one or more of the following areas:

 

  • Project Coordination/Administration:
    • Assist with planning and scheduling project activities.
    • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
    • Track project progress and report on milestones.
    • Support project managers with administrative tasks.
  • Help Desk Support:
    • Provide first-level support to end-users for software applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
    • Document and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams.
    • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
  • Technical Support:
    • Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
    • Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on software functionalities.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: project coordination, project administration, help desk support, or technical support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in project management, IT support, or related fields.
  • Experience working on government contracts or within the public sector.
  • Familiarity with software application management.
