What will your typical day look like?  

•    Working with our clients to define their problems and design innovative solutions
•    Using data and information to derive critical insights – including consumer-level data, financial and economic information and demand forecasts
•    Stakeholder consultations, including one-on-one, small group and large workshop facilitation with a range of stakeholders (consumers, clinicians, executives, government representatives to name a few)
•    Drafting insightful reports, for both clients and public consumption
•    Contributing to our team culture
•    Project management, coaching and leading teams, and supporting business development.

 

About the team 

As a Health Advisory Manager, you'll be at the forefront of delivering value-driven solutions to our clients across the healthcare sector. You will manage projects focusing on health service planning and infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in financial performance improvement, funding model development, and operational enhancement. Your work will span across public hospitals and health and human services organisations, driving efficiency and productivity while optimising consumer and community experiences.

 

We work across the policy development lifecycle, including:
•    Strategic policy development and analysis
•    Health economics, including pharmaco-economics and cost of illness studies
•    Health service planning, including burden of disease analysis
•    Model of care design and implementation
•    Business cases
•    Financial and operational performance
•    Costing and funding model analysis and development
•    Policy and program evaluation.

We’re looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for health and social care; and an interest and/or experience preferably in the public sector or in a consulting environment with Government clients; and an interest in the economic, financial and social drivers of government investment, decision-making and policy:


In particular, you may have:


•    Four to eight years of experience in health service planning, financial and operational roles, or consultancy within the health sector.
•    A tertiary qualification in health, management, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
•    Demonstrated ability in project management, client relationship development, and leading teams.
•    Strong analytical skills and experience with health data sets, including population demographics and hospital activity data.
