Working across a broad range of clients and industries, including some of Australia’s largest and most complex organisations, our Controls Assurance teams deploy their risk, internal controls, and culture expertise to strengthen our clients' control frameworks through pragmatic, risk-based solutions. Our services include controls transformation, internal audit, risk culture, third-party assurance, and risk management solutions.
Controls - Technology Risk
Operating as part of a global team, we are a leader in the Australian market, focused on helping our clients manage their technology risks through the delivery of technology assurance, IT internal audit and technology controls advisory projects. We are committed to helping our clients strengthen their IT governance, technology risk, and IT controls, which are critical to protecting brand and stakeholder value.
What will your typical day look like?
Every day you’ll build your skills and knowledge through practical, hands-on experience. You’ll work alongside a diverse group of professionals with varied backgrounds who are experts in their field, contribute to real client projects, and build your capability through feedback and support.
As a Graduate in the Controls Assurance team, you’ll:
- Get immediate exposure working on real engagements and projects to deliver risk-based, pragmatic enhancements to internal control frameworks for large, complex organisations across diverse industries
- Support internal audit delivery and provide third-party assurance to strengthen overall control environments
- Work alongside the wider team to advise clients on business/tech risk, including risk management to foster robust risk cultures and controls transformation
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.

We’re seeking applications from final-year students or recent graduates to join our Graduate program. You may have all or some of the following:
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in risk and advisory work with enviable stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence to ask questions and learn through feedback
- Alignment with Deloitte’s values and inclusive culture
- Controls Business Risk - you’ll be studying towards a relevant degree in Commerce, Business, Psychology, Management, Law, AI, STEM
- Controls Technology Risk - you'll be studying a relevant degree in Computer Science, IT or Business Information Systems in combination with Accounting/Finance
