Job Requisition ID: 41199
Director, Performance Improvement Technology & Analytics
- Lead the technology and analytics capability within Deloitte’s Performance Improvement team
- Shape and scale client-facing digital platforms, Databricks-enabled analytics assets and AI-enabled delivery methods
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering and analytics team working on complex transformation programs
Join a growing, entrepreneurial team at the intersection of performance improvement, technology, analytics, cloud platforms and complex change. This Director-level role sits within Deloitte’s Performance Improvement team in Turnaround & Restructuring, part of the Strategy, Risk & Transactions business unit.
Our team works with public and private sector clients facing cost pressure, operational complexity, funding constraints, workforce challenges and major transformation agendas. We combine financial, operational, data and technology capabilities to help clients understand performance, identify opportunities and track delivery of measurable outcomes.
As our technology and analytics capability continues to grow, we are looking for a senior leader who can oversee the team, shape our product and platform strategy, and ensure our technology-enabled solutions are robust, scalable, secure and commercially relevant. This includes leading the evolution of our analytics delivery approach across modern data platforms such as Databricks, alongside client-facing applications, dashboards and AI-assisted workflows.
What will your typical day look like?
- Day to day, you’ll lead the Performance Improvement Technology & Analytics team, overseeing the design, development and delivery of client-facing platforms, Databricks-enabled analytics solutions and reusable accelerators.
- You’ll work closely with Partners, Directors, client teams, engineers, data specialists and business stakeholders to translate complex performance improvement problems into practical technology and analytics solutions. This may include interactive dashboards, case management tools, benefits tracking platforms, cost and workforce analytics, data ingestion pipelines, Databricks notebooks and workflows, Delta tables, Unity Catalog-based data models, AI-assisted workflows and reusable delivery assets.
- You’ll provide technical and delivery leadership across the full lifecycle: solution design, architecture, data model design, engineering standards, delivery governance, platform quality, security, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
- You’ll also mentor junior developers and analysts, review technical approaches, uplift engineering practices and help the team adopt modern AI-assisted development and analytics workflows responsibly.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You won’t be expected to code every day, but you will need enough technical depth to challenge design decisions, guide architecture, unblock teams, assess risks, and maintain credibility with engineers, data specialists and client stakeholders. You should be comfortable working across application architecture, data platform architecture and analytics delivery, including where Databricks should sit within an end-to-end client solution.
