What will your typical day look like?
The Government & Regulation team within Deloitte Access Economics in our Melbourne office has an exceptional opportunity at the senior analyst and/or manager level.
You will work with and manage teams working with clients on important policy initiatives that shape policy and inform the highest level of government decision making on key issues affecting the Australian community.
The role involves:
• Planning and conducting impact assessment of policy proposals and programs
• Regulatory and legislative impact assessment and report writing
• Options assessment including multi-criteria analysis and cost benefit analysis

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
At the senior analyst and manager level you would have:
• Degree in either economics, government, public policy or similar. Postgraduate qualifications would be favourably considered.
• Knowledge of microeconomic theory. Experience in regulatory economics would be favourably considered.
• Experience working in or with government or regulators in policy and/or analytical roles. Consulting experience would be favourably considered.
• Experience in preparing high quality deliverables including presentations and reports.
• Ability to undertake cost benefit analysis (CBA). Technical proficiency in building CBA models would be favourably considered.
• Ability to work as part of a team efficiently and to a high level of quality whilst juggling competing priorities and tasks.
At the manager level you would have:
• Experience managing a team and/or multiple concurrent client projects.
