What will your typical day look like? 

A Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Engineering as a Service team begins their day aligning project priorities and reviewing technical delivery progress, often through stand-ups and reporting sessions. They interact regularly with clients, delivery teams, and senior leadership to address challenges, refine solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Their strategic focus centres on managing risks, driving innovation, and steering teams towards consistent, high-quality project outcomes.

About the team

Our Engineering as a Service (EaaS) Practice consists of a diverse mix of skilled and experienced managed services personnel providing differentiated DevOps and Cloud support services for leading edge technology transformation projects in steady state.  

The Deloitte EaaS team is responsible for providing our clients with the highest level of customer support services by using modern service management frameworks and leading operational tooling.  

Our business is growing and we’re on the look-out for a Service Offering Lead to join the team. The role includes a focus on driving business growth, service delivery including Service Management, reporting, and managing work loads of crossfunctional teams.

Offering Management & Strategy 

  • Owning the development, positioning, and continuous improvement of Data & AI service offerings. 

  • Analysing market trends and customer needs to inform offering strategy. 

  • Defining clear value propositions, pricing models, and service delivery frameworks. 

  • Ensure offerings are aligned with Engineering as a Service strategic objectives and technology capabilities. 

 

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement 

  • Partnering with sales teams to qualify opportunities, define client requirements, and shape proposals. 

  • Presenting of solutions to clients, articulating business value and technical approach. 

  • Developing client-specific Data & AI roadmaps to support long-term partnerships. 

  • Provide thought leadership in client meetings, events, and industry forums. 

 

Bid & Proposal Management 

  • Leading bid work for Data & AI opportunities, coordinating input from technical, delivery, and commercial teams. 

  • Preparing of compelling proposals, including solution architecture, delivery approach, and pricing. 

  • Ensuring bid submissions meet client requirements, are commercially viable, and demonstrate clear value. 

  • Managing timelines and governance processes for all bids and RFP responses. 

 

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Leading cross-functional teams in the design and development of Data & AI offerings. 

  • Mentoring and supporting consultants and architects involved in Data & AI projects. 

  • Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across Data & AI services. 

  • Collaboration with marketing, sales, and delivery teams to drive go-to-market success. 

 

Skills/ Qualifications 

 
Your relationship management skills are second to none, and you excel at stakeholder management and in particular managing expectations.  

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills 

  • Proven experience in managing technology or consulting service offerings, preferably in Data, Analytics and AI 

  • Strong pre-sales and bid management expertise, including RFP response leadership 

  • Knowledge of key Data & AI technologies 

  • Commercial acumen with experience in pricing and profitability analysis 

  • Strong time management skills 

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Prior experience of leading multi-skilled team members 

  • Understanding of Agile ceremonies, scrum methodology and DevOps concepts 

 

Work Entitlement 

Due to the nature of the clients this role will be working with, you must be an Australian Citizen and must be willing to undertake the Australian Government Security Vetting process.
