What will your typical day look like?   
As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in our Finance Transformation team, you will be part of a team that harnesses Deloitte’s brightest minds and industry leading solutions to analyse clients’ needs for transforming their Finance function. This will involve working with CFOs to reimagine their finance and enterprise operating models, evolve their financial and management reporting, and modernise and innovate their finance tech and data solutions. You will help our clients to develop their future Finance Strategy, redesign their Finance processes and leverage emerging and existing technologies, and provide a perspective on the Finance capabilities of the future. You will be part of a team that provides delivery excellence through effective project management and financial management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget. Leverage your superb interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving skills and remarkable business sense to support the wider team in project delivery and business development. 

 

 

About the team 

Industries are being disrupted at lightning speed, and we’re responsible for helping CFOs stay ahead of the curve, become effective strategic advisors and agents of change in their organisations (and get that extra sleep at night!). Our high-performing and collaborative team offers CFOs advice to optimise our clients’ finance strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with the organisation’s long-term goals. We work across the end-to-end CFO agenda, from advising on strategy to implementing solutions that unlock the value from Finance. 

You will be an integral part of the leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, an active leader in further building our vibrant, inclusive and high-performing culture and generate real insights to deliver value to our clients. 

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.  
You are someone with: 

  • 2+ years’ experience working in professional services or consulting. A combination of relevant industry experience will be considered. 

  • The skills and experience to generate, analyse and distil disparate data and evidence (both quantitative and qualitative) into concise and compelling messages that influence change. 

  • Strong critical thinking skills and a structured approach to complex problem solving 

  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams (including international teams) 

  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings. 

 

Additional experience and qualification on the following areas are highly desirable: 

  • Hands on Finance Experience in areas such as Strategy, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Partnering, Finance Operations. 

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday or D365), EPM system (e.g. SAC, Oracle, Anaplan or Adaptive Planning) and emerging technologies (e.g.  AI, data analytics or process intelligence).
