We are seeking a driven and confident Commericial & Pricing Manager to join our Commercial office. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, and we offer a flexible work environment.

 

What will your typical day look like?
As one of our Commercial Managers, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the pricing and commercial strategies of large, complex deals across our Advisory, Implement, and Operate Services. You will support a series of integral activities, and your responsibilities will include:

  • The creation and structuring of pricing strategies and commercial constructs tailored to meet both client expectations and Deloitte's operational standards.

  • Completing quantitative and qualitative reviews to analyse the costing and pricing of our large, complex deals and to prepare advice and recommendations in relation to commercial quality.

  • Develop and present commercial decision support information for internal consensus, e.g., Deal P&L and Cash Flow analyses, sensitivity, and scenario analysis, etc.

  • Provide commercial guidance for proposals to both demonstrate value to our clients while protecting Deloitte’s commercial interests.

  • Support the development of client business cases on large and complex deals.

  • Working with bid teams/ sales, prepare and develop client commercial and pricing materials, including Pricing schedules and Commercial Terms & Conditions.

  • Plan, manage and supervise staff members and work collaboratively to complete deliverables.

  • Develop and refine commercial tools, methods, and guidance materials.

 

About the team
Deloitte’s Commercial Office supports the firm’s largest Pursuits, MSA’s/ Panel agreements, and challenged engagements, while also growing commercial acumen across the firm. Achieving optimal commercial outcomes is of paramount importance for the firm in what is a very competitive market for professional services. The Commercial Office provides support to facilitate these outcomes, embedding best practices and tailoring commercial constructs to emphasise the value of the firm’s diverse suite of services.

We are looking for someone based in either Melbourne or Sydney. If you want to work in a team who are passionate about pricing, committed to holistic commercial and contracting models and negotiate with some of Australia’s biggest companies, this could role be for you.

We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:  

  • 5 – 6 years experience gained within a commercial/financial modelling and analysis or similar role, preferably in a Professional Services, Business Advisory, or B2B managed services business.

  • Proven expertise in applying diverse pricing strategies, including Fixed Price, Transaction-based, Subscription-based, and Value-Based Pricing models.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proficient in financial modelling with advanced MS Excel skills and experience in pricing Services’ deals using creative and innovative constructs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and adaptable to evolving business needs.

  • Educational background in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering disciplines.
