Business Development Executive

An amazing opportunity has become available for a Business Development Executive to join the Deloitte Software Group to drive the Sales strategy for our priority software products. You will help define the sales plans for each of our strategic solution and execute on these plans. The Software solutions include an; AI based digital solution, Data platforms, Major Program Management platform and Digital Twin capabilities. 


What will your typical day look like?  

Your day-to-day will be diverse but richly rewarding. This is a non-client facing role working closely with the Head of Product, Strategy and Operations driving the GTM success of the software products: 


  • Develop a sales plan for each of the strategic software solutions and executing on the plan, which include sales targets, target customers, and activity metrics 

  • Develop a pipeline of qualified leads through personal initiative, planning, networking, marketing activities, and execution to achieve annual sales targets. 

  • Participate in management and product marketing meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items 

  • Ability to penetrate and win new logo accounts.  Ability to expand existing accounts by selling to additional divisions. 

  • Manage, Track and update leads and opportunities in our CRM system 

  • Gaining competitive knowledge and understanding of how to best position Deloitte’s software solutions in market. 


About the team  

Deloitte Software Group is focused on identifying, selecting, and developing technology-based products that turbo charge our consulting services and enable our consultants and our clients to tackle their most burning and complex problems. We design, develop sofrware and scale these into solutions in an incubator environment. Our product teams typically comprise of a Product Manager, Tech Lead, Software Developers, Data Scientists as well as Product Marketing and Sales practitioners.

You are passionate about owning the overall performance and growth for our key software assets in the territory. Accountable for sales, opportunity profitability, client satisfaction and territory growth, you will use a consultative approach to selling by intrinsically understanding our client’s business challenges and create opportunities for Deloitte to address them using our market-leading software products.  


You are someone with:  

  • 5+ years in Multi-Technology/Software sales; you know how to identify needs and can find solutions to your customers problems 

  • Self-motivated, driven, high energy, competitive, and attention to detail kind of leader 

  • Strategic/consultative sales skills and experience, with a track record in new business sales 

  • Strong relationship building skills and confidence in dealing with C-Level managers 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • You enjoy bringing in new business and winning new logos 

  • Prior experience selling in the Australian market
