As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to innovative commercial advisory, financial analysis, and project development support, helping shape the future of energy in Australia.

  • Decarbonisation strategies and roadmaps
  • Renewable energy project development (greenfield and brownfield)
  • Financial modelling, project finance, and investment analysis
  • Market entry and commercialisation strategies
  • Mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and accessing public/private funding sources

We frequently collaborate with other Deloitte capabilities—such as strategy, due diligence and M&A — to deliver comprehensive solutions that exceed client expectations.

What you’ll do

  • Support Engagements: Contribute to the delivery of complex energy and climate advisory projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and alignment with project objectives.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their challenges, providing analytical support and contributing to actionable recommendations.
  • Analytical Excellence: Build and refine financial models, conduct investment analyses, and develop commercial frameworks, including optimising capital structures and evaluating market opportunities.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborate with team members, supporting senior staff in project delivery and mentoring junior analysts to foster a positive team environment.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on energy market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities to support project delivery and business development.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct detailed financial, technical, and commercial analyses to support project delivery.
  • Assist in preparing high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and financial models, that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Engage with clients, Managers, Directors, and Partners to support transaction elements, capital structuring, and energy market analysis.
  • Contribute to business development activities, such as preparing proposals and supporting client workshops.
  • Build your expertise in energy markets, positioning yourself for future leadership roles within the firm.
