Deloitte Risk Advisory’s Digital and Technology Risk team is looking for top performing, strategically minded consultants to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. We aim to help enable our clients to: 

1.    Better understand and embrace the risk associated with their current IT and Digital evolution. 
2.    Design, implement and govern smarter, data driven, lean digital process and control environments harnessing cutting edge cloud and robotic solutions 
3.    Gain assurance that their digital environments will help them achieve their business objectives and meet and manage their risk and regulatory requirements. 

 

The nature of engagements we deliver are broad and can relate to nearly all aspects of technology operations and transformation from risk assessments, process and control design, governance and reporting to regulatory compliance and assurance and are delivered across a range of industries including Financial Services, Public Sector, Consumer, Energy and Resources. This means we require individuals that are passionate and inquisitive about all different types of emerging technology and are keen help find smarter and safer ways of enabling effective adoption of them. 
  
What will your typical day look like? 

 

We are looking for a top performing Digital and Technology Risk professional to join this dynamic and fast-growing team to help us meet the current market demand for digital and technology risk management.  As a member of our team the types of work you will be involved in include: 

•    Support clients in leading and supporting technology delivery and operations and in responding to risk, audit, and regulatory challenge 
•    Support the assessment, design, development and delivery of process, risk and control management capabilities working with stakeholders across Business, Technology, Digital, Security, Risk, Audit, and Assurance functions 
•    Help support the execution of client engagements through structured problem solving and effective time management  to deliver high quality outcomes  
•    Build authentic and trusted relationships with our clients and the broader Deloitte firm.

You are someone with: 


•    1+ years of technology risk management experience in a consulting/professional services environment  
•    Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills with the ability to apply technical concepts 
•    Hands on technology risk management methods, governance, and assurance 
•    Worked within risk, control, or assurance BAU functions or on large scale digital transformation or technology change management programs 
•    Experience in utilising data to inform technology risk management decisions and reporting  
•    Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo, and deliver effectively against challenging objectives 
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
•    Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software 
•    These certifications are desirable;  
o    Technology risk management certifications e.g. relevant ISACA certifications including but not limited to CRISC, CGEIT, COBIT, CISA; ISO27001 Lead auditor/implementor  
o    Technology Service management certifications e.g. ITIL 
o    Cloud certification e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure  
o    Project management certifications e.g. PRINCE2, Agile

What will your typical day look like? 

We are looking for a top performing professional to join this dynamic and fast-growing team to help us meet the demand for digital risk specialists. As a member of our Risk in Digital Transformation team the types of work you will be involved in include:

 

  • Advising on the risks facing digital transformations and ensuring that these are appropriately addressed at the right stage of implementations.
  • Designing and implementing target operating models for digital risk functions.
  • Defining and embedding risk management strategies for digital technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence and cloud.
  • Designing end to end risk management processes. 
  • Embedding risk management solutions within client environments

 

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with our high-profile clients across all sectors of the economy, with likely focus on some of our biggest clients in retail banking, capital markets, insurance and NSW Government. There will also be the opportunity to engage with multi-disciplinary teams from across our business to draw together digital specialisms into client offerings.

 

About the Team

Our Risk in Digital Transformation practice sits within our Risk Advisory practice. We support Australia’s largest organisations to help them reduce risks and improve outcomes from their most complex transformation projects by designing, implementing and assuring risk management approaches across technology and business functions.

You are someone with:

  • Experience and knowledge of complex project and program delivery methods, including the implementation of technology solutions.
  • General knowledge of the latest technology trends (i.e. AI, Automation, Cloud, Agile and DevOps), how these are being deployed across Financial Services and/or other industry sectors, and an appreciation of the risks they present.
  • Good technology and/or industry experience obtained via a career in industry or another consultancy.
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo and deliver effectively against challenging objectives.
  • Experience of working in, or with, a Digital function, ideally on a change/transformation programme.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possible tertiary or project management qualifications (e.g. Agile, MSP, PMBOK, Gateway, Prince 2)
