Adobe App Builder | Technical Lead

Date:  10 Aug 2026
Location:

Melbourne, VIC, AU

Department:  Technology & Transformation
Description:

Job Requisition ID: 41744

  • Be part of market-leading projects with global scale and complexity
  • Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
  • Reimbursements for professional development and subsidised qualifications

What will your typical day look like?

This role is centred on leading the build of Adobe App Builder solutions from within the delivery team. You'll guide developers through the technical detail of the work, stay close to the code in Node.js, and help unblock complex problems across serverless actions, integrations and event-driven services. Rather than setting direction from a distance, you'll be hands-on in making sure the team delivers high-quality, scalable outcomes.

A big part of your impact will come from driving technical delivery across the full development lifecycle. That includes shaping how work is broken down, reviewing code, troubleshooting issues in distributed systems, and helping the team make smart decisions around performance, security and maintainability. You'll also work closely with project managers, product owners and business analysts to keep delivery practical, focused and moving.

The role offers a mix of team leadership, client collaboration and hands-on engineering. One day you might be guiding CI/CD setup through Adobe Developer Console and aio CLI, the next you could be mentoring developers, resolving integration issues, or helping translate client needs into build-ready technical tasks. It's well suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front and creating confidence within a team through strong technical judgement.

About the team

Part Business. Part Creative. Part Technology. One hundred per cent digital. Through 22 studios spread across the globe, we provide clients with a full suite of digital services, covering digital strategy, user experience, content, creative, engineering and implementation across mobile, web and social media channels.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • Strong experience leading the technical delivery of cloud-native, serverless applications in enterprise environments

  • Deep hands-on capability in Node.js backend development, including troubleshooting complex distributed systems

  • Experience guiding developers through build challenges, code reviews and day-to-day technical decisions

  • Knowledge of Adobe App Builder, including Adobe I/O Runtime, API Mesh, I/O Events and Adobe Developer Console

  • Strong understanding of microservices, API-first design and event-driven integration patterns

  • Confidence working across environment setup, deployment processes and CI/CD pipeline automation

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into build-ready technical solutions

  • Exposure to Adobe IMS, JWT/OAuth-based authentication, third-party integrations, or React Spectrum would be a bonus
