Companies don't always have the luxury of time when performance drops, pressure builds or financial distress hits. As a Deloitte Graduate in Turnaround & Restructuring, you'll work alongside specialists helping clients assess their position, respond to complexity and move forward with confidence.

 

What will your typical day look like?

Day to day, you'll be working on live restructuring, turnaround and insolvency matters, helping clients understand the financial and operational issues affecting their business. You'll build your skills through real analysis, stakeholder exposure and project work that sits close to critical decision-making.

 

  • Analysing financial performance, cash flow and business position to support restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements

  • Assisting with independent business reviews, investigative reporting and recommendations for clients facing complex financial challenges

  • Supporting day-to-day insolvency matters, including stakeholder communication and implementation of restructuring strategies

 

As well as learning in the flow of work, you'll also be part of our firm-wide Graduate Program. You'll have a permanent, full-time role from day one, with structured learning, real-world client work, and hands-on projects to build your career. You'll be supported by a dedicated buddy and coach, with flexible work options and wellbeing support as you grow.

 

About the team

Turnaround & Restructuring helps clients respond to disruption, under-performance and financial distress with practical advice that works in the real world. The team works across restructuring, performance improvement and formal insolvency matters, supporting businesses through high-stakes moments when clarity and action matter most. You'll be joining a friendly and welcoming team in Hobart, with the backing of colleagues across eight locations nationally. It's a strong environment to learn from experienced practitioners and build skills that are both commercial and technical.

We're seeking final-year students or recent graduates (within two years) to join our Graduate Program.

 

You may have all or some of the following:

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Interest in restructuring, insolvency and financial analysis

  • Comfort asking questions and learning through feedback

  • Alignment with Deloitte's values and inclusive culture

  • You'll be studying towards or have completed a relevant degree, such as Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law

  • You'll be eligible for the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program
