Senior Consultant – Organisation and Work Transformation (Defence Sector) | Canberra

We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Organisation and Work Transformation (OWT), to drive transformation in workforce strategy, op model, organisational design, and learning pathways, partnering with Defence and Government clients to create lasting change.

What will your typical day look like?  

 

  • Lead workforce transformation project workstreams, including redesigning roles, structures, and processes. 

  • Partner with Defence and Government stakeholders to align organisational strategies with their mission and priorities. 

  • Develop and implement workforce strategies that enhance capability, flexibility, and sustainability. 

  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions with clients to identify challenges and co-create solutions. 

  • Provide thought leadership on trends and best practices in organisational design and workforce planning. 

  • Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for transforming organisations and empowering workforces. Your experience in consulting, Defence, Government, or a related sector gives you the insights needed to address complex challenges with confidence. 

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in workforce or organisational design, ideally in consulting or Defence/Gov contexts. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering measurable results. 

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

  • Knowledge of the Defence and Government sector is highly desirable. 

  • Security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
