Who will you be working with?

 

In Canberra, we assist our government clients understand and respond to the nation’s most pressing environmental strategies, policies and programs. These include (though not exclusive) climate and risk, resilience and adaptation; biodiversity and natural capital; net zero and regional transition; and disaster risk reduction and resilience. At Deloitte, you will work on matters of national significance which require an eligibility to hold, or a holding of, a baseline security clearance for the Commonwealth Government.  

 

What will your typical day look like?  


No two days are the same in the Risk & Resilience Team. You will be working across Canberra and with a range of government departments on significant environmental, climate, and sustainability issues and challenges of our time. We help government understand these risks and opportunities, and help them to navigate their response, providing government with the tools and insights to build a resilient and differentiated approach.

You are someone with: 

  • An undergraduate or above degree from a recognised university in geography, social science, environmental studies, law, commerce, biological or physical sciences, or engineering.
  • You will hold a baseline Commonwealth security clearance, or be eligible to obtain a baseline clearance
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • A demonstrated understanding of the national policy landscape, and the public policy and government processes
  • Collaborative and team player approach
  • The ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively
  • Willing to relocate, or are located, in Canberra
