What will your typical day look like?
We are looking for experienced and dynamic Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers to join our rapidly growing Program and Capital Project Delivery team in Canberra.
As a member of the team, you will provide exceptional client service and leverage your experience:
- Applying structured problem-solving approaches to design and deliver some of the most visible and important national programs across the Defence, National Security and wider government sectors – from shipbuilding and enhancing energy resilience through transition, to transforming operating models for how Defence procures some of its most important sensitive assets and services.
- Utilising project and program management skills to coordinate highly effective teams, while guiding junior colleagues and building strong client relationships on the ground
- Supporting business development opportunities, including preparing proposals for new client engagements, and implementing firm-wide initiatives
You will be supported with extensive strategy, operations and transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job)

In response to strong client demand for our services, we have multiple roles for outstanding Consultant, Senior Consultant and Manager-level practitioners.
You are a highly motivated individual with:
- Extensive experience in delivering complex projects or programs in a client facing/advisory role, either in-house or in a Consulting environment. This may include project controls, strategy and planning, procurement, engineering, governance, benefits realisation, and/or business case experience.
- Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to deliver compelling arguments at executive and working level
- Curiosity to learn and passionate about develop oneself and others as well
- Excited to collaborate in a team environment to solve complex business problems
- Expanding work experience in large transformative and nationally critical programs that incorporating both a strategy and implementation lens
- Passionate about delivering real organisational outcomes
- Ability to plan and deliver streams of work, including defining client problems, co-designing solutions and presenting to senior client stakeholders
- Advanced problem solving, business analysis and project delivery skills
- Contribute significantly to thought leadership, talent development, people leadership and running of Deloitte’s business in Canberra.
- Have Australian citizenship a minimum AGSVA baseline clearance
Experience in complex Defence program delivery, energy transition, strategic sourcing, or supply chain resilience is preferred but not essential.
