What will your typical day look like?  

Deloitte is seeking an accomplished Presales Solution Architect specialising in Infrastructure and Cloud Managed Services. This role will contribute to Deloitte's strategic growth by developing new consulting and managed services offerings while building strong client relationships. You will champion our EaaS portfolio, engage in technical discussions with clients, and support Deloitte’s Government Cloud and Operate services. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will bridge complex technical solutions with desired business outcomes. 

 

About the team 

Our Engineering as a Service Practice consists of a diverse mix of skilled and experienced managed services personnel providing differentiated Cloud, Platform, Infrastructure, and Data and AI Managed Services for leading edge technology transformation projects in steady state. Our team is responsible for providing our clients with the highest level of customer support services by using modern service management frameworks and leading operational tooling.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Sales Leads, and Business Development teams to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions 

  • Provide strategic input on sales, service and architecture development 

  • Develop large-scale or complex bids and high-level designs, often serving as the technical lead and trusted advisor 

  • Supporting the closing of deals effectively based on technical outcomes and deliverables that are commercially viable 

  • Contribute to the development of standardised and tailored solution offerings. 

  • Working with delivery teams to transition new work to delivery teams. 

  • Engaging with other Deloitte stakeholders to support strategic account plans for key clients 

  • Assist in the development of infrastructure, hybrid and multi-cloud strategies, including both Azure and AWS Solutions, with an enterprise and public sector focus. 

  • Offering deep technical consultancy services to Deloitte clients, and articulating client business requirements as functional and non-functional requirements 

  • Support technical leadership and mentoring within clients and Deloitte teams 

  • Play a pivotal role in Deloitte’s go-to-market service offerings.  

 

Desirable Skills and Experience 

The role requires the following competencies. 

  • Expertise in IT architecture with 57+ years of experience, preferably in multi-tenant environments  

  • Foundational IT knowledge with 10+ years of experience 

  • Previous experience as a solution architect, particularly in regulatory environments  

  • Australian Industry experience – Federal Government and Defence 

  • Strong knowledge of managed services models, service design, SLAs, and operational processes 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex client requirements into clear, value-driven solutions 

  • Proficiency in creating business cases, strategic roadmaps, and high-level designs 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills 

 

Desired Qualifications 

Certifications such as: 

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect 

  • TOGAF, ITIL 4, or COBIT 

 

Security Requirements 

  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory due to security clearance requirements) 

  • NV1 security clearence

 

Work Entitlement 

Due to the nature of the clients this role will be working with, you must be an Australian Citizen and must be willing to undertake the Australian Government Security Vetting process.
