Our team helps organisations bring their strategy to life through efficient, effective, and future-ready operations. We work with public sector clients to solve their largest most complex operational challenges.

 

We draw from deep technical, operational, and public-sector specific expertise to transform their organisation. We help to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and harness new technologies to drive growth, and keep up with shifting citizen and market expectations.

 

What will your typical day look like?  

In this role, you will engage directly with high-profile public-sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority operational related problems. You will also:

  • Ensure high-quality outcomes for our clients by maintaining a strong commitment to excellence, and supporting clients to drive profitability and performance objectives
  • Lead and manage  some of the most inspiring public sector programs
  • Develop a high performing team, through leadership, coaching and mentoring
  • Draw on your pre-existing experience, coupled with Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Operating Model Design, Process Improvement, Design Thinking, Digital, Data Analytics,s and experience from our global consulting network
  • Developing strong client relationships to deliver projects on-time and to clients’ expectations
  • Work with leaders to discover new market opportunities and prepare proposals
  • Contribute significantly to thought leadership, talent development, people leadership and running of Deloitte’s business in Canberra
  • Undertake extensive operations and transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job)

We are seeking applications from practitioners with extensive operations advisory, transformation, program orchestration or similar experience in Federal Government.

 

You are someone with

 

  • A proven track record of hypothesis-driven analysis and problem solving, and delivering exceptional results for organisations in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Variety of experiences in working in teams delivering complex projects in a client facing/advisory role, either in-house or in a consulting environment
  • Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.) and synthesising into digestible outputs (e.g. reports)
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to articulate complex ideas and arguments effectively, both at Executive and working level
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong and adaptable facilitation and communications skills, with the curiosity to learn and proactively to bring forward ideas
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others as well as self
  • Experience with creating business development materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in Operating Model Design, Process Improvement, Service Design, and Digital Transformation
  • Minimum AGSVA baseline clearance
  • Canberra based.
