About the team

In Finance Assurance, we help our clients make their finance functions more efficient and effective. You will be working as part of multi-disciplined teams on a variety of Public Sector projects in areas such as financial and management reporting, systems implementation, budgeting and regulatory compliance and accounting advice as well as gaining fantastic experience working with some iconic projects.

We are a team of specialists with deep Public Sector experience and expertise, assisting Federal Government navigate complex matters such finance function design and transformation, accounting change, performance audits, financial management and reporting, transaction accounting advice and specialised finance operations.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

We’re looking for someone with:   

  • Qualifications in an accounting/finance degree and CA qualification or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience within accounting, finance or audit. Previous experience in public sector is highly desirable 
  • Excellent technical accounting skills with experience in applying accounting standards to government projects
  • Excellent skills delivering finance or accounting advisory projects or internal improvement activities
  • Financial reporting experience, including end of month activities, year end statements, financial statements, controls and reconciliations
  • Well-developed relationship management skills
  • Strong project management skills across all aspects of managing finance or accounting projects
  • Excellent collaborative skills, precision thinking and a dedicated work ethic
  • Strong experience in managing variety of stakeholders effectively, both externally and internally
  • Experience in coaching and guiding other team members in applying tools, guidance and methodology in delivering projects
  • Current security clearance is highly desirable, but is not essential
