We are now recruiting for an experienced Analytics & AI Manager to become a valuable member of our Canberra Data & AI team.

 

Our Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (A&AI) practice within Deloitte Consulting is leveraging established and emerging technologies to maximise our clients’ productivity and freedom to innovate.  As a Manager, you will be empowered to identify opportunities that develop machine learning capabilities, reporting platforms and enterprise data technologies. We are now looking for knowledgeable and passionate people to help accelerate an expansion of our Data & AI capability in the industries of Defence, Security and Justice (DS&J).

 

The team comprises over 500 specialist practitioners across Australia, each of whom are constantly curious and excited about combining their business acumen and technological expertise to create data-centric solutions that help solve complex problems and transform, or reinvent our client’s organisation.

 

About the Role

 

  • Engage directly with high profile clients on their most important and challenging business issues, addressing and solving their priority problems using intelligent system capabilities and insights uncovered through visualisation and statistical analysis. 
  • Work with high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance using Innovative solutions
  • Develop and maintain go-to-market strategy and delivery approach for Analytics and AI/ML solutions
  • Understand the importance of operational security and the impact of good cyber practices in commercially and legislatively sensitive engagements, and help to enforce high-levels of information security standards
  • Working with the business, and IT Architects to define the solution and technology design
  • Analyse and assess business processes and problems to deliver business case and roadmaps for the introduction and implementation of Analytics and AI/ML solutions
  • A strong technical background in an IT development environment with an ability to design solutions in accordance with best practices, design principles and standards
  • Deliver high quality solutions using market leading solutions including AWS, MS Azure, Google and be a subject matter expert on various Analytics and AI/ML concepts and implementation methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills to lead discussions with clients and software vendors
  • Coaching, growing and inspiring team members to follow leading practices and demonstrate delivery excellence

 

Knowledge and Experience Required        

       

  • At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML and Analytics project implementation
  • Experience and knowledge of complex project and program delivery methods, including implementation of technology solutions
  • Experience of different project lifecycles (SDLC) and delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum, kanban)
  • Experience in delivering Analytics & AI solution like Computer Vision, Cognitive agents, Natural Language Processing, reporting platforms and data visualisation
  • Experience in consulting environment across diverse domains
  • Deep technical and business expertise to work with IT or business teams
  • Strong client engagement skills, with experience of working with executives and building good, trusting relationships with them
  • Experience in leading or being involved in sales pursuits for IT projects
  • Delivery / development experience using Python, SQL, C++, REST APIs or others
  • AWS, GCP, MS Azure and other technology or development framework accreditation will be preferred
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects that meet schedules on time
  • Experience in DS&J sectors/departments in a technological capacity is preferred. 
  • Ability to acquire and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Clearance of Baseline or NV1. Candidates who already cleared are encouraged to apply.
