Deloitte is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Advisor who will be a senior leader within our Canberra cyber security practice, responsible for supporting the growth of practice and leading teams to deliver a broad range of cyber advisory services for our Canberra clients.

 

The role will involve collaborating as part of a strong national cyber business to deliver a broad range of cyber advisory and transformation services, drive growth through effective business development and relationship management. The role also involves coaching and developing a high-performing and diverse team.

 

What will your typical day look like?

We are looking for a leader to join our cyber security team as a Director to help us meet growing demand for cyber advisory services.

 

You will be involved in:

 

  • Leading the high quality delivery of a wide range of cyber security advisory and transformation engagements
  • Supporting the growth of our practice through business development and eminence activities
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and alliance partners
  • Mentoring, coaching and growing high-performing team members, including supporting junior staff in the early stages of their career.
  • Scoping up new projects in response to client needs, including designing the approach, resource planning, pricing, and performing internal quality & risk management checks.
  • Shaping the strategy and development of practice capability, such as industry knowledge or service methods (e.g. for growth risk management / governance areas relating to cloud, artificial intelligence / machine learning, intelligent automation, future tech operating models etc).

You are someone with:

 

  • A roll your sleeves up attitude, with a client first approach and driven to deliver high quality outcomes
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in cyber security governance, capabilities, solutions and transformation.
  • Experience in applying cyber in the Federal Government and Defence environments including applicable cyber security frameworks and policies (e.g. ISM, Essential 8, PSPF, ATO processes)  
  • Experience with security architecture and security artefacts as part of on-premises and cloud based services for Federal Government and Defence to support IRAP / ATO processes.
  • Passion for leading and coaching team members in an inclusive environment, including performance management and development.
  • Excitement for thinking creatively, generating innovative ideas, questioning the status quo, and delivering effectively against challenging objectives.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating – both with clients and internally.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) including the ability to craft high-impact advisory reports and low level detailed artefacts related to solution outcomes.
  • Ability to translate client issues / needs into structured project activities to achieve a valued outcome.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen including an ability to drive tender responses, estimate delivery effort reasonably, and manage projects to within budget
  • A passion for learning and maintaining awareness of security risks and solutions associated with the latest technology trends
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SABSA
  • Previous experience in a professional services / consulting environment (or equivalent exposure to leading in a customer-focused, project-based context).

  • Australian citizenship – already have or the ability to obtain minimum NV1.
