What will your typical day look like?  

As a Consultant in our Finance Transformation team, you will be working with / alongside a team of Deloitte’s brightest minds to analyse clients’ needs and requirements for transforming their finance function.

About the team

Government is being disrupted at lightning speed and we’re responsible for helping Government Agencies and their CFOs stay ahead of the curve (and get that extra sleep at night!).

Our high-performing and collaborative team offers Government advice to enable and optimise their investment decisions, funding strategies, finance functions and financial management, ensuring that they are aligned with the organisation and Government’s long-term goals.

We primarily seek to improve the investment decision making, efficiency and effectiveness of organisations at all stages of the investment and finance transformation journey from designing the change required, to delivering and managing that change and providing assurance around change initiatives.

You will be an integral part of a leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, and generate real insights to help deliver value to our clients.

With a focus on Federal Government, you will be part of our team responsible for providing the following offerings to our clients:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in finance transformation, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strategic problem solving, creative analysis, critical thinking and storytelling/communication skills, being able to work well with senior stakeholders and internal teams
• Experienced using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint etc. to build business models and analyse data and MS PowerPoint to build & deliver recommendations
• Relevant Finance, Commerce, Data Science qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working with Federal Government is highly desirable

Due to client requirements, all candidates must undergo a security clearance and as such, only Australian citizens will be considered for this role. Please note this role is based in Canberra.
