Join Deloitte as a Client Account Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract, supporting a priority Government account from Canberra or Sydney and helping the Client Service Team deliver world-class client outcomes.
What will your typical day look like?
You’ll work closely with the Lead Client Service Partner and Client Service Team to drive strategic account management, client relationship development, opportunity acceleration and account operations. A big part of your role will be translating account strategy into clear rhythms, governance, actions and ownership so the team can execute with focus and accountability.
Day to day, you’ll help the team build stronger priority client relationships through account meetings, leadership engagement, strategic events, communications and senior stakeholder touchpoints. You’ll also guide major pursuits through the end-to-end sales lifecycle, helping teams tailor value propositions, connect to firm support and keep momentum across pipeline activity.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll bring structure to a complex account environment, reduce operational burden for leaders, and use client insights, forecasting, revenue data and pipeline activity to inform better decisions. You’ll also manage and develop account support resources while keeping a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery quality.
About the team
This role sits within Deloitte’s Growth business and supports a priority Government account as part of the Growth Enablement and Client Service Team environment. You’ll work with senior leaders and opportunity teams across the firm to bring together sector insight, growth platforms, relationship assets and firmwide resources in service of the client. It’s a highly connected role with real visibility, designed to help the account team stay focused, responsive and client led.
Enough about us, let's talk about you
You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

5-7 years’ experience in account management, sales enablement, business development, or a similar role, ideally in a matrixed environment

Professional services, Government and Public Sector, procurement, or major account experience would be advantageous

Strong understanding of account strategy, planning, governance and client relationship management

Knowledge of the sales lifecycle, pursuit management, pipeline management and value proposition development

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret revenue, forecasting, pipeline and client data to generate insights and actions

Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, driving accountability and bringing structure to complex or ambiguous situations

Strong communication, PowerPoint and Excel skills, along with experience using CRM systems and pipeline management tools

Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance, with current Baseline clearance or above well regarded
