What could your next role look like? 

Deloitte Canberra predominantly focuses on the Defence Sector, Federal Government and the various Intelligence Communities and local private enterprises. About the team


In Accounting & Reporting Assurance, we are specialists in finance function transformation, CFO advisory services in Government, accounting change, financial management, transaction accounting advice, specialised finance outsourcing and Federal Government budget management matters. To put it simply, we help our clients make their finance functions more efficient and effective.


You will be working as part of multi-disciplined teams on a variety of client projects in areas such as financial and management reporting, regulatory compliance and accounting advice. As well as gaining fantastic experience working with some iconic clients, you’ll get access to Deloitte’s training and development opportunities as well as receiving support to undertake further study.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.


You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • Experience in finance, accounting, external audit, or a related field
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or above in accounting/finance or a related field
  • Looking to study toward a CA/CPA qualification (or similar)
  • Excellent technical accounting skills with experience in applying accounting standards to government projects (desirable)
  • Excellent skills delivering finance or accounting advisory projects or internal improvement activities, financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting
  • Strong communication, leadership, project management, and multitasking skills
  • An existing security clearance would be advantageous
