Due to the nature of the work, Australian citizenship is required. 

Deloitte Canberra predominantly focuses on the Defence Sector, Federal Government and the various Intelligence Communities and local private enterprises. You could be helping the military prepare their workforce for the next national emergency (conflict, bushfire, COVID), delivering projects impacting Australian society, influencing public policy, redesigning the way the Australian Space Agency uses collective intelligence to solve issues at the national level, or be involved in developing competencies you can’t talk about, for secret organisations you’ve never heard of. The projects we work on in Canberra have a lasting impact on the health, economy, defence and security of Australia.

About the team

The Deloitte Consulting Transformation & Operations team assists Senior Executives, CEOs and Boards of leading Australian corporations and government agencies to deliver operational excellence. We improve profitability and business productivity for our clients through a comprehensive set of service offerings and performance improvement capabilities.
The Deloitte Consulting Operations team provides a dynamic environment where you will work alongside Partners and senior members of the Firm to develop solutions to some of our clients’ most complex challenges.  Deloitte’s differentiation rests on the diverse capabilities of our people, and the strong team based culture to deliver the best advice to our clients.  In this collaborative role, you will be challenged to provide outstanding strategic analysis and direction to our clients.

We are looking for a number of Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our team in Canberra. If you want to have a role in transforming organisations in a firm that cares about your wellbeing and invests in your development (both structured and on the job), this could be for you. We encourage anyone with experience and skills in data analytics, logistics or anything similar to apply.


We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:   

  • 2 - 7 years of experience in consulting, project work, reform transformation, or similar 
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience working as part of a team to deliver outputs to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • A desire to take responsibility for outputs and demonstrate proactivity in identifying and resolving challenges
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and problem-solving drive
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Desirable: Experience in areas such as supply chain, enterprise cost reduction, process efficiency and re-engineering
  • A delivery background working with either federal government or defence is desired
