What will your typical day look like?  

Our specialist accounting skills empower clients with a deep understanding of their financial position. We don’t just understand our clients’ businesses, we explore major opportunities and identify risks beyond traditional financial reporting functions. Our team of auditors and accountants is growing more than ever as the world recognises our talent. 

About the team

In Audit & Assurance, we are specialist who empower our client’s financial position to ensure the validity and legality of their financial records. We don’t just understand our clients’ business and industries, we also act in an advisory role to recommend possible risk aversion measures.

You will be working as part of multi-disciplined team on a variety of projects with some of our largest national clients. Our Canberra practice services clients across government, financial services, private enterprise and not-for-profit. As well as servicing clients locally, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure across the national practice and learn new skills whilst making an impact. Each new day provides you with a new challenge, developing your skills as you work across different service lines tackling complex accounting issues. As well as gaining fantastic experience working with some iconic clients, you’ll get access to Deloitte’s training and development opportunities as well as receiving support to undertake further study.

You’re inquisitive, meticulous, humble and you often let your work speak for itself. You’re also ideally: 

• Majoring in Accounting or studying a degree that makes you eligible for the Chartered Accountants Program
• Finishing your studies in 2026
• A strong communicator who possesses the skills needed to build relationships both your team and senior clients
• Adaptable and driven – you understand what it’s like to overcome obstacles through sheer tenacity and hard work
