A typical day in Deloitte’s cloud engineering team begins with a quick stand-up to align on priorities, progress, and blockers. Throughout the day, you’ll design and build cloud solutions—often configuring platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, writing automation scripts (Python, Bash), and deploying infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or Ansible. You’ll monitor environments with platforms like Datadog or CloudWatch, resolve incidents, and ensure security compliance. Responsibilities include delivering robust, scalable solutions, maintaining technical documentation, and supporting client engagements through demos or updates.

  • Client interaction and collaboration: Serve as the primary contact for clients and key stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Requirement analysis and solution design: Collaborate with clients and our broader programme team to understand solution requirements. Architect distributed applications on AWS to meet these requirements.
  • Implementation and testing: Undertake hands-on implementation of cloud native and modern integration solutions and conducting robust integration testing.
  • Troubleshooting and optimisation: Provide expert assistance in troubleshooting technical issues, optimising performance, and ensuring security and compliance of cloud solutions.
