What will your typical day look like?  

  • Collaboration with delivery stakeholders to define the scope of test automation and performance testing.   

  • Develop and implement automation and performance testing strategies aligned with project goals. 

  • Lead the selection and implementation of automation tools and frameworks. 

  • Lead the selection and implementation of performance tools and frameworks. 

  • Oversee the creation and execution of automated and performance test scripts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to automation and performance testers, ensuring adherence to best practices. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve testing processes.

The ideal candidate will have skills in the following categories: 

 

Interpersonal Skills: 

Effective communication skills. 

Strong analytical skills with a curious and inquisitive mindset. 

 

Analytical Skills: 

  • Ability to independently develop and implement test automation scripts. 

  • Ability to independently develop and implement performance test scripts. 

  • Proficiency in analysing test results and identifying areas for improvement. 

 

Technical Proficiency: 

  • Proficiency in integrating test automation with common source control and build management tools. 

  • Proficiency with performance testing methodologies and tools. 

  • Understanding of system architecture and performance-related factors. 

  • Proficient in scripting and automating test scenarios. 

  • Proficient in Command Line Interfaces (both Windows & UNIX environments). 

  • Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Python programming, including reviewing automation test code. 

 

Role-specific Skills: 

  • Over 3 years of relevant work experience as a Lead / Manager with a deep understanding of test automation and performance testing tools and methodologies. 

  • Development of test automation scripts for System Test and Systems Integration Test, ensuring traceability to requirements. 

  • Design, implementation, and execution of both functional and non-functional tests, including performance tests. 

  • Assistance in unit test coverage reporting and conducting code reviews with the Development team. 

  • Preparation of test data for automation testing. 

  • Accurate reporting on test automation execution, performance, and coverage. 

  • Experience with agile testing methodologies.
