What will your typical day look like?  

 

You will engage directly with high profile resource and energy sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority asset and operational related problems. You will also:

 

  • Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with the business and senior executives to support the successful delivery of assigned project(s) objectives and deliverables.
  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance
  • Lead and coordinate project workstream delivery with a focus on outcomes and impact, shaping and guiding junior staff 
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the field of Asset Management to support the delivery of assigned improvement projects
  • Proactively pursue client opportunities and deliver proposed solutions to develop a pipeline of work
  • Develop strong relationships with the existing client base whilst growing the Specialist Assets network 
  • Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics, and experience from our global consulting network
  • Involve regular travel, gaining valuable consulting experience, sharing, and collaborating with onsite management and other senior inhouse consultants

  • Asset Planning and Optimisation

  • Asset Risk, Safety, and Integrity Management
  • Studies and Project Delivery
  • Maintenance and Operational readiness
  • Asset Decarbonisation and Electrification
  • Asset Closure
  • Asset Management Learning and Development
  • Asset leader Coaching and Mentoring
  • Asset Health and Reliability support

In response to strong client demand for our services, we have a need for an additional Operational Manager level practitioner with extensive Asset Management and an operational transformation experience in energy, resources, and public infrastructure.

 

You are someone with: 

  • Exposure and experience having worked in Asset Intensive industries (preferably Resources and Energy) at senior Line Leadership level, with a strong focus on Maintenance and Asset Management practices
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others as well as self
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
  • Strong and adaptable facilitation and communications skills
  • Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.) and synthesising into digestible outputs (e.g., reports)
  • Experience in the use of structured problem-solving approaches / frameworks
  • Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
