What will your typical day look like?
This is an exciting career opportunity for a career focused Senior Consultant to join our Engineering Service Delivery team and immerse yourself in the world of Service Delivery & Transition Project Management. In this role you’ll interface with clients and provide them with world class Service Delivery & ITSM experiences.
About the team
Our Engineering as a Service (EaaS) Practice consists of a diverse mix of skilled and experienced managed services personnel providing differentiated DevOps and Cloud support services for leading edge technology transformation projects in steady state. / Operate phase.
The Deloitte EaaS team is responsible for providing our clients with the highest level of customer support services by using modern service management frameworks and leading operational tooling.
Our business is growing and we’re on the look-out for an experienced Delivery Manager to join the team. The role includes a focus on business development, client Service Delivery and Service Transition / Project Management, Quality Assurance and business process transformation and the rapid adoption of AI and automation.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Owning delivery of a service tower or functional team to ensure commitments are met or exceeded
- Manage incidents, problems and minor service improvements
- Produce performance reports and insights
- Build and maintain relationships with client operational stakeholders
- Support contract adherence and service level tracking and achievement
- Leading cross functional delivery teams in not only transitioning into steady state but also in solution and new business development providing managed services to a number of our top tier clients based in both private sector and government organisations
- Service Transition Project management and ensuring operational readiness by working collaboratively with the build/implementation/Operate teams for a successful transition to steady state.
- Providing Governance, Risk and Compliance along with a focus on service assurance across the processes and standards used for our clients
- Facilitation of key client meetings to discuss overall project tasks, operational progress, issues and processes
Financial performance of the client engagement and associated invoicing process.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
- Your relationship management skills are second to none, and you have a knack for making complex technical issues clear for clients, developers and business analysts alike. In addition, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 5 years of service management and/or service transition project management experience in the managed services/ service operations environments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing service transition projects and managing application and cloud infrastructure support of enterprise solutions for large corporate or government clients
- Background in service delivery management and ability to deliver / run managed services contracts with a focus on governance, risk management and continuous improvement
- A strong communication skillset with a background in ITIL v3 and/or ITIL4 and how it is adapted in a professional services environment .
- Good understanding of cloud technologies, API integrations and privileged access management solutions would be highly regarded.
- Understanding of Agile ceremonies, scrum methodology and DevOps for release management and combine with comment two points below
- A strong level of resilience and good problem-solving techniques, when dealing with challenging client operational issues
- Strong leadership qualities and people management skills
- Business process transformation and early adoption of AI / Automation and continuous improvement experience and focus
- Pre-sales, new business development, solutions development exposure or experience also highly regarded

- Due to the nature of this role interfacing with Australian Government clients that will require a secruirty clearance we are only able to consider applicants who are Australian citizen and be willing to undergo Aust Govt security clearance, or who already hold an AGVSA clearance.
