What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Manager in our Brisbane team, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the business. Working with our Directors and Partners, you are responsible for leading the team and delivering to our clients while remaining focused on managing the workflow and growing the business. You will also manage the performance, careers and development of a group of talented staff.

Some of the key responsibilities of our senior managers include:

  • Supporting Partners and Directors in managing & delivering complex client engagements across a diverse portfolio of successful privately owned businesses and entities, ranging from large multinationals to high-net-worth individuals, start-ups, and iconic family groups.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their complete business needs, with a focus on providing the most impactful and meaningful solutions. You take on leadership roles within engagements & client accounts and maintain & build relationships at a senior level (with support).
  • Managing the workflow and productivity of your team, with a focus on creating a high performance and client centric environment.
  • You are a recognisable role model and inspire others to embrace and live our purpose and values. You play a key coaching role to team members on engagements and more formally as a Career Coach.

You are an experienced tax professional with a passion for managing and developing talent within the team, and you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Strong tax compliance and advisory experience on complex tax technical matters
  • 5-8 years’ experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier professional/accounting firm
  • Completed CA qualifications, accounting degree/major, Masters in tax
  • Exposure to large privately owned groups, multinational companies and private equity
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • As a self-starter you will have a strong track record of consistently driving results and taking the initiative
  • Ability to project manage and deliver multiple client engagements
  • Strong sense of team and desire to manage and mentor our upcoming talent through coaching and on the job training
