What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Analyst within our Mergers & Acquisitions Tax team, you will work in a fast-paced and exciting environment where you will become part of an established and experienced team to provide specialist taxation advice on cross-border and domestic investments and transactions, including acquisition and vendor due diligence and structuring, holding and financing structures, private equity fund structuring, capital market transactions and IPOs and business restructuring.

 

You will be responsible for assisting with M&A quality and risk procedures, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed to a high standard and within transaction timelines, conducting primary research and analysis, drafting client advice and due diligence reports and reviewing share purchase agreements.

 

About the team

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax team works with domestic and international clients across all sectors, providing tailored advice on complex tax matters including acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, corporate restructures, and post-transaction integration. Working collaboratively with some of the best minds in the Deloitte Australia and global network, we give our clients confidence throughout even the most complex transactions.

 You are someone with:

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience within a top or mid-tier accounting or top tier legal firm in the international tax, M&A or corporate tax areas.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to think strategically and work effectively with clients and other advisers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and a keen interest in maintaining and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Enthusiasm and a passion to succeed.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.   
  • University qualifications ideally in law and/or commerce.
