Join Deloitte's Control Assurance team in a role where you'll help clients navigate technology risk, uplift assurance frameworks, and deliver stronger outcomes across complex environments.

What will your typical day look like?

Working across IT internal audit, technology risk and control assurance engagements, you'll assess governance and control environments, identify gaps, and shape practical recommendations that clients can act on. The work spans framework uplift, assurance reviews, and risk-focused insights that help organisations respond to changing regulatory and operational demands.

Your input will help senior leaders make better decisions about resilience, risk, and control effectiveness. Whether you're testing technology controls, reviewing operating models, or translating findings into clear reports, you'll play a hands-on role in protecting customer trust and supporting stronger business performance.

Along the way, you'll collaborate with experienced leaders, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to proposals and growth opportunities across the practice. It's a role with variety, visibility, and the chance to deepen your expertise while taking real ownership of your work.

About the team

Deloitte's Control Assurance team helps organisations strengthen the governance, risk, and control frameworks that underpin confident decision-making. The team works across IT internal audit, technology assurance, and broader risk advisory, supporting some of Australia's largest organisations on issues that matter - from control effectiveness and regulatory readiness to resilience and trust in technology environments.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• Experience in IT internal audit, technology risk, advisory or consulting, including ownership of engagements or workstreams
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to turn technical concepts into clear, practical messages for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience designing, assessing or testing technology controls in internal audit, assurance, or external audit environments
• Confidence preparing high-quality reports, proposals and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and an ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams
• Experience delivering technology assurance work in professional services, with familiarity in ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2 viewed favourably
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP or similar are advantageous
• Exposure to APRA prudential standards including CPS 234, CPS 230 and CPG 235 is nice to have
