About the team
Deloitte's Infrastructure & Industrials team is made up of over 400 experts, working on some of the most high-profile infrastructure and government service projects. We offer a collaborative environment where you'll work closely with industry leaders who are passionate about your professional growth.
Our team’s work spans the entire infrastructure lifecycle, including:
- Policy development
- Strategy development including master/precinct and portfolio planning
- Strategic advisory
- Business case development
- Financial advisory
- Procurement process design and execution
- Commercial advisory and negotiations
- Construction project management and contract administration
- Project and program management
- Physical infrastructure asset advisory.
And we work across a range of public and private sectors, such as:
- State and local government
- Transport
- Sports and recreation including projects related to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games
- Justice and security
- Resources, electricity and water
- Education
- Ports and economic infrastructure
- Precincts and urban renewal
- Residential, commercial, and industrial
- Health and human services.
What will your typical day look like?
Expect to work closely with our clients, helping to address ‘front-page’ and ‘big-ticket’ issues. On a day-to-day basis you might find yourself:
- Collaborating with government and stakeholders to shape the next generation of infrastructure and real estate projects.
- Undertaking commercial and financial analysis, designing commercial frameworks and optimising procurement strategies.
- Analysing an infrastructure network’s performance and future requirements using the latest tools and technologies to identify opportunities and risk.
- Coordinating business case development for an important community project.
- Conducting analysis to identify opportunities and risks in infrastructure projects.
- Supporting large-scale government tender processes to ensure value for money.
- Supporting high-profile, complex infrastructure projects across various sectors.

We are looking for a diverse range of skill sets and experiences to add to our Brisbane team. Therefore, we are open to a range of infrastructure and commercial professionals and backgrounds.
As a Manager, you would be expected to lead teams and manage engagement delivery and have strong technical and analytical capabilities, including to supervise others. You will need to demonstrate a strategic and proactive mindset and ability to articulate and solve complex business issues. Communication is critical, and ideally you will have some experience in influencing stakeholders, teams, and individuals positively, and establishing professional relationships with increasingly senior people. A Manager will take ownership of business development opportunities, and drive high performance from colleagues across Deloitte.
As a Senior Analyst, you would be expected to have strong technical and analytical capabilities and an ability to problem solve to deliver impact. You will need to demonstrate capability to communicate effectively and be a team player. A Senior Analyst recognises the importance of proactive engagement management, and building a deeper knowledge and understanding of the sales process.
For both roles, we are looking for the following must haves:
- A passion for public sector work and a strong understanding of government investment drivers.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to write for various audiences.
- A positive, collaborative, problem-solving mindset with a drive to learn and grow.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
You may also have the following skills / experiences, which would be valuable to the role:
- Experience in public sector procurement, infrastructure delivery, financial modelling, contract design, and consulting services.
- Experience in the preparation of business cases
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, including financial, commercial and/or economic analysis.
- Project management or contract administration experience in government or private sector.
- Background in professional services, government, planning, engineering, infrastructure, or relevant industry.
