What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Analyst within our Private Tax & Advisory team, you will provide tax advisory and compliance services to a broad range of clients.  Expect every day to be different – assist with a client’s compliance on one day, and work on complex family and domestic tax matters, transaction tax engagements and business advisory services on another.  Be part of a high-performing and fast-growing team that really love what they do and be mentored by some of the best in this field. 

About the team

Our Private Tax & Advisory team is focused on providing expert tax advice and services to some of the region’s largest and most highly regarded businesses and the families that sit behind them. By working on private businesses and the families that own them, you will be exposed to the day-to-day tax affairs of some of Australia’s largest families.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You are someone with:

• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience providing tax advice and tax compliance services to Australian based large privately owned enterprises and the families that sit behind them.
• Experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance for companies, trusts (including family trusts), partnerships, and individuals with significant investment portfolios. High-level understanding of self-managed superannuation funds is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to maintain relationships with our clients and cultivate new ones.  
• A self-starter attitude with an ability to drive results and take initiative to identify areas of opportunity which enables you to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Dedicated work ethic and a drive to progress your career in Private Tax & Advisory and deliver quality outcomes for our clients.
• Strong desire to collaborate with your team and across other areas of the Tax & Legal practice.
• A curious and innovative mind with a willingness to explore solutions and alternatives to problems.
• Strong technical accounting background.
• Highly experienced with Xero (with Xero Advisor certification) and MYOB.
• Previous experience with Reckon APS suite including XPA and Tax Manager is preferred.
• Currently working towards, or have completed, your Chartered Accountant qualification.
