Role Summary
As an Observability Architect, you will lead strategic observability programs across complex client environments and drive innovation within the firm’s Observability practice. You will be responsible for client success, practice development, capability uplift, and pre-sales leadership. This role is ideal for someone with deep domain expertise who can shape observability strategy at scale while mentoring a high-performing delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as solution architect and technical lead for major observability transformation programs.
- Define observability strategies in line with enterprise SRE, Cloud, and ITSM objectives.
- Build and manage long-term client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
- Oversee and quality-assure deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead internal initiatives to grow the Observability practice including capability development, IP creation, and go-to-market offerings.
- Partner with sales teams to support client pursuits, including writing proposals and presenting solutions to senior executives.
- Mentor and develop Observability Managers, Consultants, and Engineers.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in observability, AIOps, and performance engineering.
Key Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in consulting or enterprise observability/monitoring roles.
- Proven experience leading multi-stream engagements across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Deep understanding of observability principles: metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, and service health.
- Strong architectural knowledge of one or more observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
- Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, Heads of Engineering).
- Demonstrated leadership in growing and mentoring consulting teams.
- Certifications in cloud platforms, SRE, or observability tools are highly regarded.
