We are looking for a highly motivated Manager – Operational Transformation, who is passionate about tackling the most important, complex and challenging problems across diverse industries with our dynamic, motivated team. 

 

About the team  

The Deloitte Sustainability, Climate & Industrials (SC&I) Team works with the Senior Executives, CEOs and Boards of heavy asset organisations leading operational transformation and improvement programs. Our practitioners are problem solvers, with deep transformation, operations and industry insight. They apply their experience to diagnose and solve complex problems and design innovative, pragmatic solutions to achieve transformational success and outcomes.

 

What will your typical day look like?  

As a Manager, you will provide exceptional client service and apply your experience to:

  • Lead large and complex projects ensuring high-quality outcomes for our public and private sector clients whilst also supporting and driving sales initiatives within the business
  • Develop a high performing team, through leadership, coaching and mentoring.
  • Work with leaders to discover new market opportunities and prepare proposals and scope and be accountable for new client engagements.
  • Undertake extensive operations and transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job).
  • Contribute significantly to thought leadership, talent development, people leadership and running of Deloitte’s business in Canberra.

You are a highly-motivated individual with operations, advisory, transformation, program management or similar experience in any industry, and from any professional background.

 

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Variety of experiences in delivering complex projects in a client facing/advisory role, either in-house or in a consulting environment.
  • A proven track record of hypothesis-driven analysis and problem solving, and delivering exceptional results for organisations in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to articulate complex ideas and arguments effectively, both at executive and working level.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop strong and enduring business relationships with senior clients within public and private sector organisations.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others, as well as self.
  • Strong and adaptable facilitation and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple streams of work and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Preference for those with experience working in heavy asset industries, e.g. mining, power & utilities, transport
