About the team
Our Technology, Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) practice sits as part of a connected national and APAC team. It is responsible for answering the most challenging client problems: how can technology strategy enable a business to deliver outcomes; how do we select and design technology to enable growth; how do we structure enterprise and domain architecture functions; how to solve complex business and technology problems; and how to execute technology-led transformations. The Opportunity
Our TS&T team is at the forefront of technology and innovation to help our clients imagine their business, solve the most complex business and technology problems and help them accelerate their transformational journey. We are currently hiring at the Consultant level within our growing practice in Brisbane for the following areas of expertise:
- Project and Program Delivery and Assurance
- Business-Led Technology Strategy and Business Case Development
- IT Operating Model Transformation
- Enterprise Design combining Enterprise Architecture, Service Design and Human Centred Design techniques
What will your typical day look like?
Never expect a boring day in our Tech Strategy & Transformation team. Every project is different and exciting as you gain experience across a diverse range of clients, sectors and industries. Supported with comprehensive training, our tech advisors have a strong foundation in technology and tools that allow us to radically improve and transform the way our clients work and make an impact in their markets. As a Consultant in our team expect to:
- Work closely with our clients as a trusted advisor, completing research and analysis to understand their problems and form recommendations.
- Support our clients in identifying how technology and innovation can help them differentiate, gain competitive advantage and deliver better outcomes for their customers.
- Contribute to client deliverables, such as strategy decks, business cases, operating model designs, and transformation plans.
- Work with our thought leaders and our client stakeholders to shape the transformation to support clients in implementing their strategic ambitions.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams across Deloitte (e.g., engineering, cloud, cyber, human capital) to realise our client’s technology transformation objectives.
- Learn and leverage our modern delivery methodologies and tools to enable technology enabled outcomes for our clients.
- Develop enterprise architecture blueprints and requirements using design techniques across application, information, integration, infrastructure and security domains.
- Provide solution advice and technical assurance.
- Provide implementation support including project management office support and coaching.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with 2–3 years’ experience in a client-facing or advisory role, either in-house or within a consulting environment. You have demonstrated capability across one or more of the following areas:
- Demonstrated strength in critical thinking and problem solving, with the ability to analyse complex information and develop pragmatic solutions
- Exposure to IT program and project management, including experience supporting or delivering initiatives using Agile and hybrid delivery approaches
- A genuine interest in IT strategy, innovation and emerging technologies, with an ability to translate trends and technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes
- Understanding of enterprise design principles, including exposure to enterprise or solution architecture concepts and their application in technology-enabled change
- Experience contributing to technology sourcing activities and vendor management, including engagement with third parties to support successful delivery outcomes
- Certification or practical experience applying recognised methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe, TOGAF or ITIL
