Role Overview:
Join our dedicated turnaround & restructuring team at Deloitte, working closely with a small group of bookkeeping staff to manage a diverse portfolio of insolvency cases. You'll support Partners and professional staff, ensuring seamless operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry Management: Update information and transactions using insolvency software Turnkey IPS.
- Banking Operations: Process payments as required for insolvency cases and regularly review and reconcile bank transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS returns, statutory compliance forms with ASIC and additional reporting as required.
- Support: Assist professional staff with ad hoc inquiries relating to insolvency cases and the above tasks.
- Collaborate with team members: Work closely with engagement teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you:
- Experience: Background in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- Accounting Knowledge: An understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices and insolvency is desirable.
- Organisation: Highly organised and proactive, with an eye for detail.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Turnkey Insolvency Practitioner System (IPS) is advantageous but not essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Professionalism: Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behaviour consistently.
