Role Overview:

Join our dedicated turnaround & restructuring team at Deloitte, working closely with a small group of bookkeeping staff to manage a diverse portfolio of insolvency cases. You'll support Partners and professional staff, ensuring seamless operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Entry Management: Update information and transactions using insolvency software Turnkey IPS.
• Banking Operations: Process payments as required for insolvency cases and regularly review and reconcile bank transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS returns, statutory compliance forms with ASIC and additional reporting as required.
• Support: Assist professional staff with ad hoc inquiries relating to insolvency cases and the above tasks.
• Collaborate with team members: Work closely with engagement teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you:

• Experience: Background in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
• Accounting Knowledge: An understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices and insolvency is desirable.
• Organisation: Highly organised and proactive, with an eye for detail.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to address and resolve issues efficiently.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Turnkey Insolvency Practitioner System (IPS) is advantageous but not essential.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Professionalism: Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behaviour consistently.
