We are looking for an experienced Manager / Engineering Lead with deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to lead the technical delivery of enterprise-scale digital experience platforms. This role combines hands-on technical leadership, solution architecture, and people leadership, with accountability for delivery quality, team capability, and stakeholder outcomes.

 

What will your typical day look like?

  • Be hands-on AEM Technical Lead / Architect, leading the design and delivery of solutions across AEM Sites and Assets.
  • Define and document solution architecture, low-level designs, and technical estimates for AEM initiatives.
  • Lead AEM implementations end-to-end, from architecture and design through build, testing, and release.
  • Define integration patterns between AEM and third-party platforms (e.g. DAM, CRM, commerce, analytics).
  • Lead migration strategies from AEM On-Premise or AMS to AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Establish CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting practices across AEM environments.
  • Lead technical assessments, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and client workshops.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, and enterprise architects.
  • Mentor and lead engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and technical direction to grow team capability.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset across engineering practices and delivery processes.
  • Stay current with Adobe’s evolving ecosystem, including AEM as a Cloud Service, Edge Delivery Services, and Headless CMS.

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development, with 5+ years of hands-on AEM experience (AEM 6.x and/or Cloud Service).
  • Proven experience leading complex AEM programs from architecture through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of AEM core architecture, including:
    • Templates, components, workflows, permissions, and content modelling
    • AEM Assets, Forms, and Dispatcher
  • Experience with AEM deployment models: On-Premise, Adobe Managed Services (AMS), and AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Strong experience with AEM migrations (Sites and Assets).
  • Experience integrating AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Analytics, Target, Campaign), third-party platforms using REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Strong knowledge of modern web and headless architectures, including React and API-driven delivery.
  • Experience with cloud technologies AWS or Azure is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Cloud Manager, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, and personalization frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers, including offshore delivery teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
