What will your typical day look like?

You will leverage your passion for cyber security and people to help our clients address their key cyber risks and design Cyber Security Solutions to protect their core information assets. You will bring strategic thinking, communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable you to engage at all levels of an organisation in relation to the cyber risk agenda. 
 
You will coordinate a diverse and driven team to assist organisations with a wide range of security advisory, transformation and implementation services, such as cyber security strategy, threat and risk assessment, security design and implementation of solutions. As a Director, you will lead teams to deliver projects and contribute to the culture of learning and impact within our cyber risk practice.

You are someone with:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Cyber Security Architecture, leading cyber transformation initiatives, managing cyber security functions or cyber risk consulting
  • Proven ability to improve security posture of clients from people, process, and technology perspective 
  • The ability to understand a client’s cyber posture, perform gap analysis, understand the regulatory & legal frameworks, to then define architectures and delivery schedules
  • The ability to think like a malicious actor, to anticipate and defend one’s organization against information security risks
  • The ability to think like a business executive, manage security team members and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Develop relationships with key cyber focussed executives within client or potential client organisations as well as the local cyber community
  • The experience and technical expertise to build security infrastructure from scratch or update existing systems in response to ongoing changes in the security landscape, including new risks and adherence to applicable regulations
  • Utilizing emerging technologies to design and implement security solutions; monitoring and improving those solutions while working with an information security team
  • Consulting to build security best practices; implementation of security measures to meet business goals, customer needs and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with business development through your relationships with clients and the ability to provide compelling business proposals
  • Security considerations of cloud computing, including data breaches, hacking, account hijacking, malicious insiders, third parties, authentication, Advanced persistent threat, data loss and DoS attacks
  • Work effectively with national Deloitte staff to deliver project outcomes and contribute to the broader national community of cyber specialists
  • Identity and access management; tracking and creating/enforcing policies that govern access sensitive technology resources and information assets
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, technology projects and information security programs
  • A diverse range of cyber security experience and capabilities, such as security strategy & governance, security architecture, or security engineering in areas such as SIEM, Identity & Access Management, Operational Technology, Cloud or network security.
  • Ability to develop project timelines that prioritise changes that provide greatest impact
  • Experience cultivating a culture of security awareness and education
  • Leadership skills with impact
  • Skills to drive appropriate security policies and procedure development
  • Experience or knowledge of industry frameworks such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, NIST Standards
  • Experience in leading / mentoring a team and coaching them to upscale their skills 
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Progress towards or completion of certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on client engagements 
  • Strong communication and client facing skills with both technical and business stakeholders 
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills
