The Deloitte Adelaide Consulting Team provides a dynamic environment where you will work on challenging projects, across a range of high-profile client organisations.  

 

What will your typical day look like?  

  • Engage directly with high profile clients on their most important and challenging business issues by addressing and solving their priority operational problems
  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance
  • Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network
  • Undertake extensive asset optimisation, capital projects and broader operations transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job) with the opportunity to experience borderless careers through international assignments and secondments
  • A key area of focus will also be developing and maintaining relationships with Deloitte and Partners at the industry and account level across the EMEA region to drive account collaboration and build business.
  • As part of our leadership team provide leadership, mentoring and proven capabilities in people management
  • Work on some of the most challenging private and public sector capital and transformational programs in the region

About the team  

Our Australian team draws on hands-on industry expertise and extensive experience from some of the world's largest operations and complex capital projects. The team enables clients to set up, build and run projects with greater confidence in the results. We bring our clients this confidence through our focussed offerings that focus on driving improved performance across the value chain through the application of digital technologies to organisation transformation and capital project development, delivery and commissioning and into asset operations, management and maintenance, including improved management of the supporting enterprise.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

In response to strong client demand for our services we have several roles for outstanding Consulting Senior Managers with extensive capital project, operations advisory and/or transformation/change experience across government, defence, mining or public infrastructure.

You are someone with:

  • Multiyear consulting experience in a Tier 1 Consulting firm, boutique strategy house, engineering advisory firm and / or an internal consulting or business improvement role
  • A strong delivery background in or across a number of industries preferably including mining, infrastructure or capital development projects
  • Proven experience in leading project teams, demonstrating exceptional business development, communications and client relationship skills
  • Highly developed analytical skills with a track record for solving complex business problems
  • An understanding of digital technologies and how they are applied to optimise business outcomes
  • Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of complex program management and the ability to manage multiple work streams in an agile manner and a diverse group of stakeholders through a sustainable change program.
  • Experience in the use of structured consulting approaches / frameworks
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
  • Strong sense of team and passion to develop others as well as self.

 

Specific experience/attributes in one or more of the following areas is highly desired:

  • Large Complex Programs
  • Operations improvement
  • Defence/Government industry experience
  • Pre-existing Defence clearance/Australian citizenship
