What will your typical day look like?  

In this role, you will engage directly with high profile public and private sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority asset related and operational problems. You will also:

  • Work on some of the most inspiring private and public sector programs including Defence, Government, Aerospace, Energy and Resources
  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence, in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance
  • Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network
  • Involves gaining valuable consulting experience, sharing and collaborating with onsite management and other senior inhouse consultants and may require regular travel (client sites and interstate)


About the team

In the Asset Management & Performance Team, we work with our clients across the breadth of their Asset Life Cycles, with core support areas being:

  • Capital project planning and development
  • Operational readiness of assets into operations
  • Commissioning Supervision
  • Effective maintenance planning and execution
  • Redefinition of sustainable supply chains, and
  • General management of their supporting enterprise

We can see where they need to go, and work with them to design and implement the path forward, powered by the best emerging and proven technology and analytical insights, to help them get there.


Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

In response to strong client demand for our services, we have several roles for outstanding Consultant / Senior Consultant level practitioners with Asset Management experience in resources, defence, energy and public infrastructure.


You are someone with:

  • Experience of working in site functional, reliability, a maintenance engineering or technical role (for example Senior Electrical / Mechanics / Marine / Avionics / Motor Technicians), with a strong focus on Predictive or Preventative Maintenance, Asset Management awareness and wider Maintenance Management experience.
  • Practical expertise in the use of project management / structured problem-solving approaches / frameworks within a Defence environment (Navy, Army or Air Force)
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
  • Strong and adaptable facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to conduct analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.), identify data patterns and synthesis data into digestible outputs (e.g. reports, models, spreadsheets)
  • Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams with a passion to develop others as well as oneself
  • Australian Citizenship with a minimum Baseline Security Clearance (or clean and traceable background, able to obtain clearance with sponsorship)
