What will your typical day look like? 

The Operate Payroll Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining payroll systems to ensure seamless payroll processing and compliance with government regulations for our managed services clients. This role involves collaborating closely with a team of payroll specialists, providing high-quality configurations, and offering expert system development advice to various clients.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.   

You are someone who has experience in payroll processing and client relationship management 

  

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll configurations (SAP preferred) 

  • A good understanding of ITIL and development standards 

  • Ideally you will have experience in an integrated HR/Payroll system (including management and troubleshooting of interfaces between systems) 

  • Excellent at prioritising multiple tasks, managing conflicting deadlines and working effectively in a dynamic environment 

  • Experience and knowledge in payroll processing 

  • Ability to effectively manage expectations and competing priorities 

  • Enjoy investigating payroll errors and working with a team of payroll specialists to identify root cause 

  • Understands when to escalate 

  • A solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation 

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills 

  • A high degree of professionalism and discretion
