This Adelaide-based opportunity offers the chance to help major organisations improve the availability, supportability and through-life performance of mission-critical assets, with flexibility to work in a way that suits you best. Bring your experience in reliability, maintainability and sustainment to work that has broader impact. In Deloitte’s Asset Management team, you will help defence and other asset-intensive clients improve the availability, safety, supportability and through-life performance of mission-critical assets and platforms.
What will your typical day look like?
You'll work with clients across defence, maritime, aerospace, transport, resources and energy to solve complex asset performance and sustainment challenges. That could mean shaping maintenance strategies, advising on investment and risk decisions, or applying RCM, FMECA, RAMS and logistics support analysis to improve platform performance.
A big part of the role is turning technical detail into practical advice that helps clients improve operational readiness, safety and whole-of-life value. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders, guide recommendations, and help organisations make better decisions about how they operate, sustain and assure critical assets.
Across each engagement, you'll collaborate with specialists in asset management, data, risk, operations and transformation. There's strong variety in the work, plus the opportunity to lead workstreams, mentor junior team members and spend time on client sites when needed.
About the team
Our Asset Management practice works where technical performance, operational outcomes, risk, investment and long-term value meet. The team supports defence sustainment and other asset-intensive environments through work spanning ISO 55000-aligned strategic asset management planning, reliability and maintainability optimisation, asset risk and integrity, design management, feasibility studies, and sustainment improvement. It's a great fit if you want to move beyond a single platform, project or operating environment and influence how organisations manage asset performance at scale.
Enough about us, let's talk about you
You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
-
Experience in defence sustainment, maritime, aerospace, transport, resources, energy, heavy industry or critical infrastructure
-
Strong analytical capability applied to complex assets, fleets, mission systems or large operational environments
-
Experience with RCM, FMECA, RAMS, logistics support analysis, supportability, failure analysis or maintenance optimisation
-
Understanding of how asset management connects maintenance, operations, risk, assurance and investment decisions, ideally with exposure to ISO 55000
-
Ability to turn technical analysis into clear advice on performance, risk, cost, availability and sustainment
-
Confidence building trusted client relationships and communicating with impact across technical and non-technical audiences
-
Experience leading workstreams, coaching others or mentoring junior team members
-
A relevant technical background and a current security clearance, or the ability to obtain an Australian Government security clearance, would be highly regarded
