As part of the Australian Deloitte Cyber practice of over 600 people our Adelaide team supports organisations with a wide range of advisory and implementation services relating to cyber strategy and transformation, security architecture, cyber defence and resilience, and digital trust.
What will your typical day look like?
We are looking for an experienced cyber professional to join our Cyber Strategy and Transformation team as a Manager in Adelaide. You will bring a strong balance of broad cyber domain knowledge, stakeholder engagement, project leadership and interpersonal skills, which will enable you to engage at all levels of an organisation in relation to the cyber risk agenda.
You will assist organisations with a wide range of security advisory services, including threat and risk assessments, cyber security strategy, security governance, security capability design and transformation. You will work within a diverse and driven team who are passionate about helping organisations to understand their cyber risk posture and improve cyber security capabilities.
About the role
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing client engagements and projects to deliver a range of cyber security related services, such as cyber risk assessments, development of cyber strategies, security architecture advice, and implementing cyber capabilities.
- Demonstrating problem solving, critical thinking and logical structuring skills.
- Managing small teams of diverse cyber security resources to deliver projects, locally and nationally.
- Applying knowledge of industry cyber trends to provide advice on cyber security solutions.
- Enabling and inspiring the growth of team members through coaching, mentoring and performance management.

We are seeking professionals who can demonstrate required cyber expertise matched with the following:
- Experience in providing cyber security advice and delivery of cyber security projects.
- Broad knowledge and practical understanding of cyber security domains and capabilities
- Ability to think innovatively and apply design concepts to solving cyber security problems
- Ability and interest in building an internal and external network with other professionals and clients to help craft the best teams and offerings.
- Knowledge of relevant cyber trends, standards, practices and regulatory compliance in the Australian environment.
- Experience leading project teams and coaching junior staff
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Certification(s) to credentialise your experience, such as CISM, CISSP, SABSA, vendor certifications – along with the motivation to continue your learning journey
- Ability to lead multiple engagements concurrently.
