As a Manager in Deloitte’s Tax & Legal practice, you’ll lead end-to-end engagements across corporate tax compliance and advisory—working closely with clients to navigate complex commercial decisions, manage risk and deliver practical outcomes.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team where you can deepen your technical expertise, build trusted client relationships and develop the next generation of talent.
What will your typical day look like?
No day is the same at Deloitte—however, your work will typically include:
- Advise on corporate tax matters such as structuring, transactions, tax consolidation, and cross-border issues.
- Own delivery of corporate income tax compliance and advisory engagements, including deferred and current tax provisions, company tax returns, planning, resourcing, review, and client communication.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams—providing clear direction, coaching, and timely feedback.
- Drive practical, tech-enabled solutions—improving how we deliver work and how clients manage tax (process, data, and new tools).
- Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through clear communication and commercial thinking.
- Coach and mentor team members—supporting their development, wellbeing, and progression.
- Develop your technical and professional capability through on-the-job learning, formal training, and collaboration across Deloitte.

Deloitte's Tax and Legal team is seeking a talented Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will lead engagements and teams on some of our most preeminent Global and Australian clients as we team with them in tackling their most complex commercial challenges. You will apply your emerging market leading corporate tax knowledge while contributing to high-impact projects alongside the brightest minds in the profession.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in corporate tax (compliance and/or advisory) within a professional services or in-house tax environment including:
- Preparing deferred and current tax provisions and tax notes for financial reporting purposes
- Preparing and reviewing company tax returns
- Researching and preparing tax advice
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical matters clearly and practically.
- Experience leading teams and managing delivery across multiple deadlines, with strong quality and risk awareness.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and sound judgement when prioritising work and supporting others.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Taxation, Law, or a related discipline (CA/CPA/CTA advantageous).
- Relevant Australian tax experience – from a Big 4, legal, mid-tier, boutique, or in-house tax team.
- Confident use of Excel and exposure to tax software
- Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, including interest in new technologies and smarter ways of working.
