We are looking for a Technology Risk Senior Consultant to join our team. This key role will see you provide oversight, review and challenge the business to help them make informed risk-based decisions and help manage risks whilst providing insights and guidance.  You will oversee the identification and management of key risks and ensure compliance requirements are met across technology teams.

 

What will your typical day look like? 

Working as part of our broader internal Business Security team, you will build close relationships with internal teams such as Legal, ITS, Talent and Marketing as well as partners and staff across the business and will have every opportunity to develop a highly rewarding profile across Deloitte. You'll be required to form an opinion on how the risks are being managed assertively providing your opinion to the stakeholders which will require you to constructively challenge in a respectful manner.

 

Key responsibilities will also include:

 

  • Perform risk assessments on ITS/ Business projects, identifying potential risks, quantifying the potential impact, and designing controls as required to mitigate risk levels appropriately.
  • Review security architecture and relevant policies for infrastructure, overall security posture, and cyber resilience.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, providing insights and guidance and assist in making informed risk-based decisions.
  • Provide recommendations and produce management reports, communicating the outcome of the risk assessments and the identified risks.

Our Business Security team is busy building a world-class information security, confidentiality, privacy, and business resilience capability to protect our people, our reputation and the information in our custody. We are a strategic partner to the business working hard to enable them to take rewarded risks while minimising negative outcomes; in doing so we are building tomorrow’s Deloitte.
 
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You will have most of the below:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder with major in Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • Significant demonstrated experience (3 – 5 years) in a Technology Risk Management or IT Risk management role.
  • Be able to work independently and under pressure. 
  • Be a good team player.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to influence. 
  • Highly refined written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience performing risk assessments around migrating to cloud would be highly regarded.
